Vegan Chocolate Oatmeal

This thick and creamy oatmeal is made with basic ingredients but tastes like a rich and chocolatey dessert. It’s simply a quick, easy, and delicious breakfast.

Ingredients

Oats
  • 0.25 cup oats
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 0.5 tbsp syrup
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tbsp plant-based chocolate protein powder (optional)
Topping
  • 0.5 banan, sliced
  • 50 g blueberries (fresh or thawed)
  • 1 tbsp puffed quinoa

Instructions

  • Combine oats, water, cacao, syrup and salt (optionally also plant protein powder) in a small saucepan.Heat to medium heat, stirring frequently (to prevent the oatmeal from sticking), until the oats turn thick and creamy, about 7 minutes.
  • Pour the oatmeal into bowls and top with banana, puffed quinoa and blueberries.
